SAP HANA Architecture Overview:
SAP HANA, short for “High-Performance Analytic Appliance” is an in-memory, column-oriented, relational database management system developed by SAP.
- Data now resides in main-memory (RAM) and no longer on a hard disk.
- The combination of hardware and software is to handle massive data in real time using computer memory.
- It combines the technology of database based on rows into columns.
- It is best suited to perform real-time analytics on massive data and the development and deployment of real-time applications.
The basis of SAP HANA database is developed in C + + and runs on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server. SAP HANA data base consists of several servers and most important element is the server index . SAP HANA database consists of Index Server, Name Server, Statistics Server, Server and XS preprocessor engine.
The more you know about HANA, the better your chances for landing a great job. SAP HANA is coming to every part of SAP and the demand for people who know Basis and ABAP and HANA is already quite high.
